so, things are going alright with school. i really don't like one of my classes, and i want to drop it, but i don't wanna piss my dad off. we'll see what happens with that. otherwise things are going fine.

in other news, it's been cold as balls out here lately, and i realized just how few long sleeved shirts and sweaters i have...i need to go buy some desperately. sigh.

also, i have some songs under the cut that you guys should download, like, yesterday :)

So, I made a post recently with a song (I'm Good I'm Gone by Lykke Li) that I liked oodles and bunches.

And I feel the need to share some more! :)

I know a while ago I told everyone to check out Joanna Newsom (definitely an acquired taste) and I just found a song by her I hadn't heard before. As stated, her voice takes some getting used to, but the lyrics are fantastic in everything she does, and so is her harp playing. Though in this particular piece she's singing a capella. It's called Yarn and Glue. Here's the video:

well, i hope all my fellow americans on here enjoyed their thanksgiving, and all my other friends on lj enjoyed the weekend at least :)

i don't have a lot of news, but i will say that i have become....obsessed. with an adorable and obnoxiously talented musician named Joanna Newsom.

now, i'm warning any of you who listen to her stuff, i HATED her voice the first few times i heard her. couldn't understand a damn word of what she was saying and she seemed off-key - but she plays the harp beautifully and i had her songs stuck in my head for days after the first listen, so i gave her another chance.

and now i love her.
