DUDE - GUYS! OMG!

okay, first off i would like to thank mithen for reccing this fic to me - see, i've been recently getting into star trek slash - specifically, the one and only k/s. it's funny, because i used to watch TOS and TNG and Voyager with my dad, but i had just never found k/s as appealing as bruce/clark (my OTP). however, since nut!trek AKA star trek xi came out, i just couldn't ignore the previous pull of the k/s dynamic now that it's full of SO MUCH PRETTY OMG. so without further ado, here's the link to an absolutely wonderful nu!trek k/s story where spock is turned into a kid again and kirk takes care of him and puts him in cute pajamas and watches the princess bride with him!!!! *dies from the sheer amounts of adorability* read it! SOOO GOOOD! http://jade-dragoness.livejournal.com/57612.html it's called As Morning Shows the Day, written by jadedragoness.

also on the nu!trek and TOS front, i found the best song ever for spock. the lyrics are under the cut - check it!

still tooling around youtube and i found the new video for Nine Inch Nails. the song is Survivalism.

and there's man sex in it!

not explicit, really, but it's very clear what's going on.

here's the video:

and here are the lyrics:

I should have listened to her
So hard to keep control
We kept on eating but
Our bloated bellies still not full
She gave us all she had but
We went and took some more
Can't seem to shut her legs
Our mother nature is a whore

(chorus:)
I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence
In hi-def ultra-realism
All a part of this great nation
I got my fist
I got my plan
I got survivalism

Hypnotic sound of sirens
Echoing through the street
The cocking of the rifles
The marching of the feet
You see your world on fire
Don't try to act surprised
We did just what you told us
Lost our faith along the way and found ourselves believing your lies

(chorus)

(cut-up speech)

All bruised and broken, bleeding
She asked to take my hand
I turn just keep on walking
what you'd do the same thing in the circumstance im sure you'll understand

(chorus)

You got your pacifism - I got survivalism

--hope all the lyrics are correct, i just followed the first link on google for them...

enjoy!

well...i've been kind of sad about my lack of comments lately....

not that the world should revolve around me, and i certainly shouldn't be too upset given that most people in school are dealing with finals and people at work are....doing that.

but since i have a sickening amount of free time right now, i've been making lots of posts (which makes it hard for people to keep up with, i know) and been getting one or two comments a piece.

i mean, when i make an art post, i always get more, of course. but that just mentally sends me back to high school and middle school when the only reason people would talk to me was to see some drawings....and then they'd forget i existed until they saw me doodling in class again and remembered, "hey, that weird quiet girl draws good and stuff"

buuuuut, that's my own crap, and i know that isnt' what's going on here.

despite that, i can't help that my silly sarah-brain goes there. i'm also not really myself emotionally right now (as you all know), so that's probably part of this too.

obviously i've gotten plenty of support in response to my self-pity fests, so that's always nice...

anyway.

in other news, i'm going to post some music. for shayla, and really anyone else who wants some.

okay, so bruce and clark will *always* be my OTP...but my brain has recently been shifting gears over to bruce and harvey. don't know why, exactly. probably a culmination of things.

but i made a playlist for them...and some of the songs i'd *thought* were bruce/clark were a billion times more appropriate for bruce/harvey. so yes. and some of the songs are before harvey became two-face (during and after college), some are while he's two-face, and a couple of them would apply to a situation where harvey had gotten better and was with bruce. just to note.

thought i'd share.
email me if you'd like the lyrics...or i could include them in a subsequent post...

City Of Blinding Lights by U2 (harv's pov)
Dig by Incubus (1st verse bruce's pov, 2nd verse harv's pov)
Glittering Clouds by Imogen Heap (harv's pov)
A Stranger by A Perfect Circle (bruce's pov)
Medication by Garbage (harv's pov)
A Kick In The Teeth by Fischerspooner (harv's pov)
Crazy by Alanis Morrissette (both povs)
Sympathy by Goo Goo Dolls (harv's pov)
Closing In by Imogen Heap (bruce's pov)
Think About Me by Goo Goo Dolls (harv's pov)
Speeding Cars by Imogen Heap (both povs)
Crystal Village by Pete Yorn (both povs)
Every Me, Every You by Placebo (1st -long- verse bruce's pov, 2nd -short- harv's pov, 3rd both)

well, hope you guys enjoy any or all of these songs. maybe they'll spawn a bunny or two...

*dancey dancey*

I was very randomly listening to Phil Collins (well, Genesis) and heard "superman" in the lyrics of "Land of Confusion", so I looked up the lyrics:

I must've dreamed a thousand dreams
Been haunted by a million screams
I can hear the marching feet
They're moving into the street.

Now did you read the news today
They say the danger's gone away
But I can see the fire's still alight
Burning into the night.

Too many men
Too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Can't you see
This is a land of confusion.

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in.

**Superman where are you now
Everything's gone wrong somehow
The men of steel, men of power
Are losing control by the hour.**

This is the time
This is the place
So we look for the future
But there's not much love to go round
Tell me why, this is a land of confusion.

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in.

I remember long ago -
When the sun was shining
The stars were bright
All through the night
And the sound of your laughter
As I held you tight
So long ago -

I won't be coming home tonight
My generation will put it right
We're not just making promises
That we know, we'll never keep.

Too many men
Too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Can't you see
This is a land of confusion.

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth fighting for.

This is the world we live in
And these are the names we're given
Stand up and let's start showing
Just where our lives are going to.

Yeah, it's not *totally* relevant, but there you go.

Hooray for my impulsive dorkiness.

:P

never alone
Oh my god.

Just heard the best song ever for the aftermath of Infinite Crisis.

I'd say it's mostly Tim/Kon oriented, but others apply.

It's called Better Days by Goo Goo Dolls.

Here are the lyrics:

And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again

And it's someplace simple where we could live
And something only you can give
And thats faith and trust and peace while we're alive
And the one poor child that saved this world
And there's 10 million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again

I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again

*wibble*

download it. download it now.

I'm writing the next chapter in this story of mine, and I was listening to this song, and thought it would be nice to post the lyrics, cuz it's yummy.

It reminds me of a less-sweet Bruce talking to Clark. XD

You've got my number you
Know what I need
And I go crazy when
Ever I bleed

Won't you come over I
Swear I'll be nice
My girlfriend told me that
You've left your wife

I learn to bribe I learn to say please
Oh won't you lick the pavement for me
I learn to bribe I learn to say please
I like you best when you're on your knees

I know you're lonely 'cause
You're just like me
Why don't you call me you
Know where I'll be

I learn to bribe I learn to say please
Oh wont you lick the pavement for me
I learn to bribe I learn to say please
I like you best when you're on your knees

Do do do do do do
Do do do do do ...

I learn to bribe I learn to say please
Oh wont you lick the pavement for me
I learn to bribe I learn to say please
I like you best when you're on your knees

Do do do do do do do when your on your knees do do do do
Oh won't you lick the pavement for me
Oh won't you lick the pavement for me, please, please...

hi, guys.

done some drawings, but still working on a couple, so i'll scan those later.

in the meantime, since a few people didn't know anything about imogen heap from an earlier post of mine, i thought i'd put down the lyrics to a couple of her songs that i'd had in my playlist...

I'm on my way to scan things in about 10 minutes, so that'll be a seperate post.

That said, those of you still reading, I have a couple of announcements.

* I went to a modeling agency yesterday for an open call, and they called me back today to get a couple of headshots since I didn't have any (which means I didn't do too terribly because otherwise they wouldn't have cared.)

* I made a B/S playlist comprised of only Imogen Heap songs, that runs chronologically through the relationship they've had (according to my brain) from friends to dancing around the more-than-friends, up to the last song where they finally just do it.

I thought I'd share it:

1- Hide and Seek (I always think of the Justice Lords on this song)
2- Daylight Robbery (kind of a Superman song)
3- Clear the Area (both of them, but more Superman about Batman)
4- Closing In (Superman to Batman)
5- Breathe In (Superman in verse 1, Batman in verse 2)
6- Have You Got It In You? *snerk*
7- Goodnight And Go (Superman mostly to Batman)
8- Headlock (Superman to Batman)
9- The Walk (Batman to Superman)
10- Hear Me Out (Superman in verse 1, Batman in verse 2)
11- Just For Now (Superman in chorus, Batman in verses)
12- I Am In Love With You (Superman to Batman (ignore the very end...)
13- Shh (Both...yay!)

Okay, so yeah. Um...I'll have some drawings for everyone in about an hour. ^^

So yeah. I was sitting around digging through my dusty old CD collection trying to find something I haven't listened to in a while, and found an old mixed CD. On it were old favorites like Korn, Disturbed, and Linkin Park. Ah, those were the days. So this Korn song comes on called "Did My Time" and suddenly I start thinking of Jason Todd as he is now. The whole thing is kind of melodramatic, but it kind of worked. So I drew Jason. Sadly, the markers I used for the big black, green, and grey areas were giving me a headache, so I kind of rushed through it...but I decided to put it up anyway. Um, if anyone was wondering why some crappy Korn song made me think of Jason, here are the lyrics:

Realized I can never win
Sometimes feel like I have failed
Inside, where do I begin
My mind is laughing at me

Tell me, why am I blame
Aren't we supposed to be the same
That's why, I will never tame
This thing that's burning in me

(C)
I am the one who chose my path
I am the one who couldn't last
I feel the life pulled from me
I feel the anger changing me

Sometimes I can never tell
If I've got something left of me
That's why I just beg and plead
For this curse to leave me

Tell me, why am I to blame
Aren't we supposed to be the same
That's why I will never tame
This thing that's burning in me

(C)
I am the one who chose my path
I am the one who couldn't last
I feel the life pulled from me
I feel the anger changing me

Betrayed
I feel so
Insane
I really tried
I did my time (x a whole lot)

I dunno. Just struck me. Here's my picture.
